Well... first post. Yay!
I've taken it upon myself to update all the Character Races. That is... correcting them, adding feats and racial utility powers that were overlooked, programmed incorrectly, or added code to make them work more efficiently.
However I've been using the editor in Hero Lab. I haven't been doing script code in .NotePad - Shame on me maybe? I'm relatively re-new to programming, you see? I haven't done it in 10 years and when I downloaded Hero Lab about 2 weeks ago I started messing with it when I realized one of my favorite races, the Bladeling and the Goblin were lacking. Either they had incorrect data, incomplete data, and were missing almost all associated Feats, Utilities, and what not...
I say 'had', because in 4 days I've completely overhauled both races, added all associated feats and utility powers. However I cannot get the utility Powers to post in the respective field within the Class Screen. My prediction is that it is missing a source code to reference Racial Utility Powers within the Utility Screen Class menu, as I've noticed a few exist already within the Powers menu but simply do not post.
**Update** Just found out Racial Utility powers do not operate correctly in hero lab. This was determined as a bug back in 2012 by LoneWolf and never corrected. Code referrals from Racial options to Utility, is of course, the issue. Bummer =/
Has anyone been able to fix this or found a work around, just checking.
So far no luck.
It would seem, without rebuilding the entire 4e program from the ground up (buying the 120 make your own thing from LoneWolf) I can't seem to make this function as intended.
Well nuts, is there a way to just add the powers as a pick from the race itself? or any way to make it so that the race power becomes an option?
Just reviving this topic to see if anyone has found a work around for utility powers? Currently I working on tinker gnomes and I am stuck at Smooth Execution lvl 2 utility power. Heck I cant even get it to just show up.
Thanks all
Sean
