Title: Choice between 2 (or 3) Abilities
Post by: MagicSN on December 21, 2012, 06:10:26 PM
Hi!

We have a script for "choosing the main attribute". But I kind of struggle with a script choosing like "Use Strength or Constitution" or "use Strength or Charisma or Constitution".

How is the correct Syntax to use string-comparisions in the script-lang?age, this is what this question basically comes down to.

Thanks in advance (We are RPGing on Sunday, and I need to update some powers for my Paladin, currently I just added an "Ardent Strike II" which works on Charisma always, as I am a Chaladin with my Pala, but would be nice to be able to write one which chooses the best of Charisma or Strength.

I'd actually be doing some work on Paladins for this issue, once I know how this script works ;-)

Ah, my memory... I actually DID find a solution for this problem some times ago, even posted it on the official forum here ^^ Well, I will soon work a bit on the Paladin.

One thing I really would like is if it would be possible to replace powers, as having all these Powers with a "II" behind their names looks - clunky.

There's an option on the power called
Replaces Thing ID

Put the ID of the thing you want to replace in there and it will override it.

Ah, great, then I can get rid of the "II" business in a lot of things.

Ok, fixed it already for some of my modifications so that this "II" notation is no longer needed. Thanks for the hint about the "Replacing". Will reupload my modifications.
