Hello everyone,
I am just wondering if any one is still working on updates for the HL files and does anyone know the reason that these files are not able to be downloaded from LW web site like Alternity and GRC Modern Heroes?
Just wondering.
Life has been hectic for me (just started a new job and spent the last month teaching my old job to others).
I'm certainly up for doing more work, and MagicSN could be as well.
As for why this isn't downloadable from the LW site, it's probably because they'd get sued by WotC if they put it there. We're more in the realm of the third party Army Builder types that put up rule sets for things like WH40K.
That said, for the themes collection, you can add those as a secondary site to get updates by adding this as a secondary source.
http://hl4e.cryptoknight.org/updates.xml (http://hl4e.cryptoknight.org/updates.xml)
I figure we should start bundling the bug fixes that have been here for a while and then remove the single files. If somebody wants to help me with that we can put the .hl files on this site for download as well as put them in the updates.xml file.
By Nature I am not a programmer but I will help when I can. I have a few fixes (mainly adding effect and trigger ect) items missing from powers and I will attempt to post them soon.
Once I get my swim team through the season (mid to late Feb) then I will have some extra time to work on things.

I understand the need for the security questions but they kill me I have to try 10 times to make it work.
What I was thinking was trying to come up with meaningful groupings of the various fixes here ( no coding is directly necessary, just organization) when we figure we have a good batch of fixes for a given category, you can run a utility from HL to export it as a .hl file and I can put those up here for download as well as via the secondary site mechanism (which is just an xml file that sits in a directory on the website).
If we had a group that determined what fixes would go into what fixpacks and bundled them, I'd be happy to get those fixes up. Sort of like a group of judges of the worthiness of fixes.
I could seriously see one such fix being a release that added the triggers and other missing data from the immediate reaction/interrupt/etc type stuff as a single pack.
Yah, I hate captcha too... if people would stop spamming forums I would turn it off, but I got hit by so many of them when I was just setting up the site. :(
Hi,
Happy Holidays!!
Because I have so little experience with using the Editor, I depend on you and the others to make the fixes to the 4e. There are still a multitude of issues with many of the feats, powers, and weapons, etc., but I greatly appreciate your extraordinary efforts.
Please continue these efforts to increase the completeness and usefulness of this product.
Thanks again,
Adamos

I have recently mostly worked on a D&D Next Module for Hero Lab. I have the playtest rules (+my personal houserules) in the meanwhile 100% implemented. Sadly Wizards of the Coast declined my request for permission to release it. So now I have the most wonderful D&D Next editor for only my personal usage ;-) (I plan asking them again, once Next has been officially released - hopefully they will in the meanwhile have realized then that they need a PC-based character editor).
Anyways, if there is any issues in 4e Hero Lab where I can help I suppose I could do some stuff, which is not all over the place, but this or that item or feat or such. In our group we currently do not play 4e anymore, though, so I would currently not do any "all over the place big/huge stuff" as to 4e Hero Lab Coding.
